Vinyasa Yoga, often referred to as "flow" yoga, emphasizes the synchronicity of breath and movement in a dynamic sequence of poses. Rooted in ancient yoga traditions, Vinyasa Yoga gained popularity in the late 20th century as a modern interpretation of traditional Hatha Yoga.
The practice typically starts with sun salutations and transitions smoothly through a series of poses, creating a fluid and continuous flow. This style of yoga targets strength, flexibility, balance, and endurance, engaging both the body and mind. Beyond physical benefits such as increased muscle tone and improved cardiovascular health, Vinyasa Yoga promotes mental clarity, stress reduction, and a deeper connection to oneself. Its adaptable nature makes it suitable for practitioners of all levels, offering opportunities for exploration, growth, and self-discovery on the mat.
Yin Yoga and the ego

Yin Yoga offers a gentle yet transformative practice focusing on deep connective tissues through passive stretching and long-held poses. Typical poses include forward folds, hip openers, and twists, held for several minutes to stimulate the flow of energy along the body's meridian channels, aligning with principles of traditional Chinese medicine.
The goal is to increase flexibility, release tension, and restore balance, promoting a meditative state of mind. In Yin Yoga, practitioners not only melt into the pose but also allow the ego to dissolve, fostering deep relaxation, improved joint mobility, and inner harmony through mindfulness and surrender.
Why we are combining both Yoga styles at Studio Kreuzberg

In our studio, we blend classical Vinyasa Yoga with a brief Yin Yoga sequence at each end of our classes for a holistic body and mind experience. We start with dynamic Vinyasa flows, syncing breath and movement to build strength and flexibility. As the class winds down, we transition into a short Yin Yoga session, focusing on deep stretches and relaxation to cool the body. This combination offers a balanced practice, providing the energizing benefits of Vinyasa and the calming effects of Yin. Students leave feeling refreshed, centered, and ready to take on the day.
If you have any question, feel free to each out.
